Heritage and vision
In 2025 , Soldomo was born , a company that is not only the result of a business project, but the culmination of a long path of research, experimentation and passion for architecture.
This story began long before its founding. It is based on decades of research, testing, knowledge transfer, and, above all, deep technical expertise in construction.
Soldomo is the heir to a universal movement of builders, architects, and visionaries who understood that architecture can be much more than a shelter: it can become a symbol of durability, harmony, and connection with humanity.
Among those pioneers is the Italian architect Fabrizio Carola (1931-2019), winner of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1995 , who paved the way with his research into vaults and domes, reinventing a timeless architectural language.
But beyond the architect Carola, a figure who left a decisive mark on this journey is: Mauro Conversi .
Born on September 24, 1958 in Pisa, Italy, Mauro Conversi was the son of Marcello Conversi (1917-1988), a renowned particle physicist who, together with Ettore Pancini and Oreste Piccioni, carried out a pioneering experiment on cosmic rays in 1946. This work, considered by Nobel Prize winner Luis Walter Alvarez as "the beginning of modern particle physics" , demonstrated that the "mesotron" (today known as the muon) was not the mediating particle of the strong force predicted by Hideki Yukawa. Marcello Conversi had been a student of the physicist Enrico Fermi at the University of Rome and left a lasting scientific mark that is reflected in his son's innovative vocation .
Mauro lived much of his life in the province of Cáceres, Spain, and in Fortaleza, Brazil, where he dedicated himself to interior design, rural housing renovation, and civil construction through various business initiatives. A visionary and passionate man, he founded Ecodome Construction in Spain , developing a unique monolithic dome construction system: faster, greener, and better suited to contemporary challenges, thanks to the use of innovative and sustainable materials. One of his most iconic projects was a self-sufficient rural hostel in the La Vera region and a domed home in Martorell , examples of his commitment to combining habitat, autonomy, and respect for the environment.
For years, we've shared a common vision: to transform the way we build , making it more efficient, more accessible, and more environmentally friendly. Convinced that the construction industry needed a profound change—as it accounts for more than 33% of the world's solid waste —we worked together to develop innovative, sustainable, and practical construction methods that would respond to this urgent need.
From this complementarity emerged a force: more than 30 years of Mauro's technical experience , combined with my commercial and strategic vision, with the aim of making this knowledge accessible to many more people .
Mauro used to repeat a phrase that reflected his philosophy of life:
« The most important decision we must make is whether we live in a benevolent Universe or a hostile one. »
His passing in June 2025 was a great loss, but his legacy lives on through Soldomo.
I, Flavien Texier, as the founder of Soldomo, have the mission of honoring shared work and transforming it into a living and contemporary proposal. I am the bridge between decades of accumulated experience and I want to contribute, in my own way, to transforming homes: from square to circular. Born in France, I have more than seven years of experience as Head of Public Works at EDF (Electricité de France), where in 2021 I received professional recognition from my superiors for the quality of my work. In 2020, I founded a service company in Paris aimed at improving the experience of EDF customers, but due to reasons of proximity and competition, I had to close it.
As an expert in construction management, electrical grids, and digital management, I have demonstrated my ability to lead complex projects and increase client satisfaction. Since I was young, I have had a deep interest in monolithic dome houses . I studied many dome shapes and different construction methods: brick, clay, cement, sprayed concrete, adobe, and so on.
At the end of his life, I had the privilege of meeting Mauro Conversi , who shared with me his innovative technique of building domes with blocks. That meeting marked a turning point in my journey.
Today I am determined to make known to as many people as possible that building a dome house is not a fantasy, but a beautiful reality , and that this system has the power to revolutionize the world of traditional, square and rigid construction.
Soldomo is much more than a company. It's the transmission of a heritage of construction innovation .
It is the desire to build monolithic houses that are quick to erect, efficient and technically demanding, yet profoundly human. It is also the echo of a millennia-old history , since, ever since the Pantheon in Rome , which has remained standing for more than 2,000 years, domes have demonstrated the power of this eternal architecture.
Today, Soldomo is presented as the fruit of decades of shared experiences , the encounter between engineering, ecology and the vision of men who believed in a future built differently.
Soldomo is, in short, a promise: to transmit to humanity a unique know-how, an ancestral architectural gesture reinvented for the future.
